I wonder how achilles is taking this, and by that I mean like, is he just hurt because mars doesn’t really accept him? or is he starting to think that mars is actually doing all this strictly just for the money, since mars never made it clear to him otherwise (even tho technically that was the arrangement he’s had with her all along)? is it a combo of the two, where he’s like oh she doesn’t accept me being weird BC it’s all just been for the money. it would kind of explain why she hasn’t come around to accepting him.
My poor baby oh no. He looks so sad and heartbroken. I wish I could help him feel better. I hope he doesn’t start thinking that Mars doesn’t care about him. She really does, she’s just too scared to say anything and this whole Chloe situation really isn’t helping.
Tbh he also hurt Mars’ heart. This might be the only way they both reach the conclusion they’re special to each other beyond the uh. *Stuff* they get up to.
i’m a few months late to sharing these thoughts (especially since mini achilles isn’t present here, but relevant to my ramblings) since i like to let pages build up and then read them all in one go, but i think thought bubble achilles helps with the theory that halo head is a system’s headspace! he’s a fragment that hasn’t entirely split off of achilles, and thus only achilles is really aware of him at the moment.
additionally, the past iterations of halo head is similar to how some systems have a cycle of sort of “starting over” and recycling old sets of alters into similar but new ones, with or without memories of this occurring. ares was recycled into mars, for instance.
clair strikes me as the kind of more solid alter that has a lot of influence over how headspace works, the kind that’s able to will new ones into existence if she thinks it’s what the collective needs. her heart is in the right place, but her controlling nature makes her somewhat of a “misguided protector” type – a protector that believes what they’re doing is for everyone’s own good, but is actually causing tension and harm within the system.
chloe is closer to the core, or perhaps some sort of trauma holder split off of the original core.
mars is an anger holder, a protector who puts up barriers of barbed wire to avoid pain.
achilles holds a lot of neurodivergence and innocence within himself, as well as… other quirks, obviously.
pepper is in a tailspin, someone that isn’t sure what exactly he’s supposed to be but wants to try to understand everything.
