On a reread, it feels more and more like Chloe and Claire are two opposite ways of processing trauma. Claire wants to keep busy and throw herself into work to avoid thinking about the Bad. Chloe wants to just let herself breathe and just do her own thing. In a world of infinite possibilities, she is choosing to do nothing and perhaps process on her own time. The problem is that Claire thinks that her way is what is best for Chloe.
