So let’s begin with Mars’s fist. :mars-middlefinger: At first glance, you may think it’s just a normal fist filled with rage and anger, but there’s more nuance to that. It has a practical side to it. With her strength, she could easily destroy a tree, as shown in #169, and yet despite that, she only punched hard enough to give Achilles a black eye, enough to make him faint a while later. She could have utterly destroyed Achilles and make him bleed and even break his face, but she held back. It shows that, despite her presenting an overwhelming attitude of uncaring aggression, she has more compassion than she lets off. (2/???)
Mars is honestly a lot more accommodating and understanding of Achilles in her own way, yeah she punched him, but he asked for and enjoyed that, meanwhile Pepper is forcing him to lie which he does not like. Anyways I love Mars :mars-wtf:
i was going to say this on the twitter but i already commented for this chapter there so i must say this here before i forget
how did we get from doomed achilles and pepper yaoi during the before and right after stairs section and then ever so slowly get to this torture and agony :pepper-surprise::achilles-serious::pepper-onedge::achilles-onedge:
Clair clearly has a LOT more control over halo head and the animal residents, than she is willing to openly admit to.
All those abandoned layers and alternate characters didn’t come from no where!
Pepper has lots of good reason to be wary of Clair’s potentially bad response to finding out about them knowing about the staircase.
(of course i don’t believe Clair herself is evil or anything, but i do foresee an antagonist role in her future tho)
To be fair, he specifically requested and enjoyed that. You’re emotionally punching him in the face with a frankly tenuous amount of consent, my dude.
