I’m sure if she apologized right now and reflected on how her actions pushed everyone else away, things would work out. But they won’t. Unfortunately, Chloe just isn’t the kind of person who’s capable of that yet.
It hurts but honestly it would be out of character for Chloe to be suddenly understanding. Making “beat up my S&M pet” SFW runs the risk of sanitizing it too much, but at least it’s a foot in the door. What worries me now is that Mars already has trouble accepting her own feelings, and it’ll be ten times more difficult to admit them in front of BOTH the people she cares about at the same time.
