But uh, things I want to do to Pepper aside – Mars still not wanting to look at him is pretty understandable given this line of conversation. She’s pretty likely still feeling really self-conscious about her relationship with Achilles, so she’s projecting that onto Chloe in assuming she’ll freak out about it. Of course I recognize this is also me projecting but if I was in Mars’ shoes I know avoiding eye contact and not even letting Pepper see my face would be the main way I kept myself together at all – suppressing my emotions.
