The backgrounds in this one *really* are something else. The perspectives! The colors! The—geometry! That last one musta been a real pain to figure out, but it definitely paid off in the long run. Pepper has such a fascinatingly designed house.

It may be relevant that Ares implied that going up the stairs could kill you, when she talked to Achilles. That’s likely because of ‘going up the stairs leads to the current iteration of halo head’, but still.
Well, the fact that it still has the dried up dark blood proves he hasn’t washed it at all, even by hand, if he had it’d be like an off pink thing at best, that things a biohazard
The new backgrounds in this one are really good! The more I look at panel 3’s background, the more I realize just how tricky it must’ve been to get all those angles and details just right.
It’s also such a treat to see a bit more of Pepper’s house! It’s probably the most explored location in Halo Head besides the lighthouse, but there’s still a lot of it that we haven’t seen yet.

Idk why but Pepper’s internal reasoning here almost reminds me of dealing with compulsions for OCD like they teach u in some therapy spaces, like the reasoning being that nothing bad’ll happen if someone else is there and that sorta helps makes it easier to get through daily life. ALSO DAMNNNN THE COLORS ON THIS ONE ARE BEAUTIFUL :pepper-cutesy:
