Mars is a really good friend, making sure not to have Achilles be too uncomfortable. I do hope she’ll be able to explain it further in the future though!
This makes me really happy. She knows lying would make achilles uncomfortable, and she doesn’t wanna put him in that position.
It’s also important to me she’s not telling him NOT to tell people—not flat out, anyways. She’s embarrassed. Perhaps ashamed. She doesn’t like feeling vulnerable. But her relationship with achilles—or whatever it is; however you wanna define it—isn’t so much a “secret” as much as it’s something she’s not ready to admit. Not even to herself yet.
Having someone who calls you friend, then turns around and pretends they don’t know you/you don’t have a relationship with them in front of other people is a painful experience, and I’m glad that’s not the direction this is taking.
You know, yeah, in retrospect it’s good that Mars said what she did rather than keep hiding and bottling up her feelings. Halo Head needs more of that, actually.
