One thing that I really appreciate about Halo Head is that when events need to be retold to other characters it always feels so natural and fluid, like you don’t have to be spoonfed storybeats again and again with other characters like other stories do. Achilles WOULD retell a entire conversation with Chloe so Mars can discover what Chloe knows now. It’s not like “Oh, Chloe came in for a sleepover and then I told her we were hanging out,” it’s just one and done, it’s so SMOOTH
And she might never have known unless she asked him to try doing an impression and immediately clocked that this conversation has actually happened at some point and Oh Damn Chloe Actually Is Mad About Secrets Being Kept From Her
Ripping off that bandaid doesn’t feel great, but dude I’d love to see Mars shift focus completely to figure out how to fix things with Chloe, she’s a powerhouse physically and emotionally I believe in her
