I can’t help but wonder how Ares would react if Achilles told her why he wanted the money. What if he was just like, “Yeah, there’s this girl I like and I really want her to just *destroy* my face, and she won’t do it unless I give her $900.”
something that really sticks out to me is that ares is a lot bigger and more realistically proportioned than either achilles and mars. i feel like the implication there is that she’s a composite of the other cats, or maybe the prototype. maybe clair “split” her.
“We don’t have to play her way anymore. She’s gone!” Only one character claims that everything needs to cost money, and money is given for busywork. One character has a bunch of rules that others are supposed to follow. Something apocalyptic happens before a new Halo Head is created.
