oh. i talked a whole bunch about mars, on the page riiiight before the one called mars. oops
note how clair says she facilitates the move-in process for every resident, as opposed to creating them out of thin air. i see this as evidence that these people exist in some form within this universe’s real world, as opposed to being created apropos of nothing (sorry i keep citing my comment on 546, it just keeps being relevant! https://halo-head.com/comic/546-the-deeper-part/#comment-7811). however if you dont believe that theory, you could instead view this as clair starting to pretend she isnt god
i enjoy clair sliding the box of tools across the desk while simultaneously slamming the drawer with her foot. very nice attention to detail, she would definitely be the multitasking type (however the box appears in the same position mid-slide as it does after clair has stopped sliding it? boy, i really hope somebody got FIRED for that BLUNDER). i also love how nonchalant mars is about being dragged into the lighthouse by chloe, and just how “animated” all of this feels if that makes sense
also i just noticed the voices of leslie and brianne from wacky lesbian hour would fit really well for clair and chloe, respectively
