Something I really appreciate about Peachykeen’s character is the way she mirrors the aspects of characters’ perceived flaws, whenever she’s not doing her Mad Seer routine. With Chloe she reflected what H.H. most despised about her; the fact that she was brash and hard to manage/control. Here with Achilles, she reflects back unto him the unwanted ideation that he’d projected unto Mars.
She also seems to be one of the only characters that actually drive the plot along, whereas Pepper and Claire want to maintain a status quo– and now Achilles as well. While most characters are driven by secret goals and repressed emotions (discounting Achilles, who’s much more like Peachy than he’d care to admit), the pure ID-driven mania that possesses each and everyone one of her actions stands in stark contrast to the rest of actually eneacts the change that they want to avoid, and directly holding up a mirror to their own neuroses.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that if Peachy started a cult I would be the first to join it. Leave peaches and blood at the wood-carve idol of her tree temple.

so like, you could kind of read this as her just flirting with him. it would be kind of funny if that’s all she meant all along. “you can still pick me. it’s harder now bc of your thing with mars but you can still do it.” that also implies she’s saying “I’ll get you in the end” when she talks about all paths. I don’t really actually feel like that’s what she’s saying but arguably one way to read it.
I was looking up who peachy said “all paths lead to peachykeen” to before and I think it’s just achilles? unless I’m missing something. she mentions paths to other people but they still always seem to be in relation to achilles being on a path. she specifically told achilles that “all paths will one day join.”
so like, achilles’ path being narrower I assume relates to his unwillingness to think about ares and stuff, and the fact that he’s further along in the plot at this point in time now in general. I feel like “his path” involves his unraveling of the bigger mystery of what halo head is and how stuff works and what the other layers are and such. it does seem like he alone may walk it, at the moment. I feel like pepper is a close second though, being the only one who seems to want to actually seek answers.
peachy makes it sound like if achilles stops seeking answers, that the mystery will go ultimately unsolved, despite pepper’s interest. maybe that’s true? maybe something else would happen, and pepper’s involvement alone wouldn’t lead to all paths joining (whatever that means).
I am also assuming that all paths joining is supposed to be like the layers all converging or the nature of halo head being revealed and maybe like clair and chloe having some kind of reconciliation with one another that lets them rejoin and face reality together or something. like achilles is the key to chloe and clair ultimately healing. something like that.
and if we want to get REALLY freaky we could get christian about it, and compare the peach to the fruit of knowledge in the garden of eden. plenty of connections you could probably make between halo head and the garden of eden.

i was expecting knowledge but not a kiss on the forehead… care to elaborate peachy? trying to figure out the multiple meanings narrower path means :peachy-aaa:

But yeah, her statement here makes me think that he’s closing in on the truth, and that if he keeps walking forward, he’ll know everything about what’s going on with Clair and Chloe, as well as what the world of Halo Head represents. Part of me really wishes he would bring Mars down the stairs to meet with Ares, but another part of me is now seeing a chance where Achilles will know the truth and start helping out Clair through her issues so that she’ll be able to help Chloe out.
But hey, who knows? Perhaps Clair will freak out and write Achilles out of existence and she’ll break down for being so stupid. I hope that won’t be the case though. :<
