I’m calling that there indeed has never been a special little guy for her before, and that he is a shakeup to the formula. I wonder if he will change how clair thinks about having started new layers? will he change how clair thinks about chloe and ares? would clair think it would be ok to lose achilles as long as she didn’t remember? is whatever she is protecting chloe from more dire than all these considerations? if clair’s role is to protect chloe, does the dire-level even matter?
The heart’s noticably in frame, but it’s hidden, or sticks outside the panel bounds just a little. Clair’s rift with Chloe is weighing on her still, but Achilles is helping her keep her mind off it.
Wonder how she’s gonna take it when she finds out that Pepper and Mars’ money-laundering scheme that helped contribute to her fight with Chloe is for Achilles and that he’s in on it.
Also, idk how relevant it will be, but this appears to be Mars’ first real job since the scam started, and Achilles does not know that there is a difference between fake jobs that Mars “pays herself” out of her money from him versus real jobs where Clair really should be paying her. Which is perhaps a vulnerable point Pepper should have considered instead of doing Mars Drama.
