the mars design that clair is working on feels like its drifting towards ares’ design, what with the hair style… there was already a parallel between them what with their names being the equivalent greek/roman gods of war, and achilles noting a familiarity when meeting ares for the first time. but that was soooo long ago. its interesting seeing those similarities creeping in again…
on another note, batty i hope you consider updating your archive search some day! it’d be nice to be able to go back and reread specific portions of this story, its gotten huge over the years! i assume adding character tags to every page would be overkill, so if that’s not on the table, i think one simple solution could be to flip the archive so it sorts from oldest to newest. i was looking for page 205 of the comic, and as of writing this post, i found it in page 18 of the archive. but since its sorted newest to oldest, it won’t stay there in the future as more updates push it further back. it could be in page 20 or beyond by the time i’m once again inspired to check out that specific page, so i think that’s why i haven’t developed any muscle memory or sense for where to find certain events of the story.
but obviously its not a huge deal, i only make text walls because i get lost in the nuance and really wanna overexplain everything lmfao. whatever you do, i hope the holidays have treated you well and thank you for making this incredible story! :peachy-aaa:
somethng i just realised that might help you in finding pages, if you just add the number of the page at the end of the website name itll take you straight to the page regardless of title (eg: halo-head.com/372 takes you straight to page 372 of the comic). pretty neat!!
oh that’s neat! i only mentioned the page number for the sake of clarity, but i often dont remember the exact page numbers of things anyways, and i blame this very same issue of not having a mental familiarity of where each page number falls on the archive pages. like “hmmm i remember X event happening before Y event, but falling outside of Z saga, which means it should be somewhere in the 10-15 archive page range” but again, the archives arent organized that way. i mean i suppose i could work backwards from the latest page number and think in negative numbers, but that seems cumbersome :pepper-scruffy:
I love how Clair is explaining herself for Achilles so he’s not confused by the usual metaphors while also being more open and honest to him. Also, hugs! 😀
I like how she just helps him up onto the counter. not the kind of thing you’d literally do with a cat, like pulling them up like that, but it feels like it. no talking about it just doing it like it’s routine.
