I think it’s more so that Clair is tryign to open up more and be less cagey. Rather than be dismissive of Achilles as usual she takes the time to talk and explain things to him. It also serves to show how her perspective at this moment is changing towards Halo Head after her chat with Chloe. AFAWK Clair is basically a god and made this world purely for Chloe’s benefit. It would be like if a god answered a kid about why the sky is blue, dude’s got other priorities but this attentino Clair is giving to Achilles shows how she’s becoming more grounded in this world. I need to reread at some point but its hard to say just how much Clair actually cares about this world or these “people” besides its purpose. The questions as usual however, is if this is genuine change or if Batty is trying to pull some shit.
I mean, clearly Clair likes Achilles, I could not see a way to read this page as anything other than Clair genuinely wanting to have more sleepover fun with Achilles. It’s not like that’s new either, Clair has been appreciative of Achilles several times,
I don’t see how you could possibly read Clair as an aloof creator figure. She gets resentful of Pepper and spooked by Peachy. She’s never treated the villagers as not people.
