Eden pointed out the foils with Clair making Pepper and Peachykeen after how she sees herself and Chloe: Pepper being a view of Clair, and Peachykeen being a foil to Chloe. But that raises a new question. “All roads lead to Peachykeen”, which can be an allegory to how Halo Head is supposed to lead to Chloe’s… happiness? Recovery? I actually don’t know exactly what the purpose is exactly. Clair made Halo Head for Chloe and created characters for Chloe to interact with, but all characters are having their own development, for better or for worse, but Chloe has been a bit of a nonfactor in this. So my question is what will happen with Chloe? Is there going to be an intermediate rebirth of the world and everything resets to “try again” if Chloe breaks down?
There’s also something interesting with the downward spiral staircase void. Achilles found it during his time of loss when he felt he wasn’t fitting in and sought for a new place to belong. He returned to it when he needed to find a way to pay Mars to be dommed, another time he felt lost, again with a purpose to seek. And when Pepper was led to the void, he felt distress with the mysterious loss of Achilles and, once again, sought for an answer of where Achilles went. Right now, we’re seeing Chloe lost, so perhaps to seek answers, she may also find the void. Or, at least, she may head that path before Clair stops her, showing that, unlike the others, she isn’t free to seek her own answer compared to the rest of Halo Head since Clair “has all the answers”.
