I feel for Achilles. I think in a way, he’s right. Claire isn’t a villain, but she clearly has toxic controlling traits that hurt others even when she’s trying to “help”. She clearly cares about others but will do anything to get her way. That includes wiping the slate clean and trying again. (But that’s my theory)
I agree. I also feel like part of her controlling comes from the fact that she would prefer to live the way she intended for Chloe. Freedom to choose which tasks she does and even to take a break from them if she wants to but still having tasks that accomplish something, in this case buying more and more items.
Unfortunately Chloe feels like she is being pressured into doing stuff she considers pointless so she digs her heels down and refuses to do anything even if that means sleeping outside.
Neither of them can see the other’s point of view and that creates the main conflict between them
