I don’t get how he’s being manipulative in this moment? he’s just explaining his thought process and we don’t have any reason to believe he’s lying about that
This made me realize, now that achilles has his black eye, he fits into the theme of having an eye closed/covered that all of the other characters except peachy and mars share
