I honestly am really curious if Peachykeen knows more than she lets on, or if she’s actually just bat(lol)shit insane. Like, I don’t doubt that she has some knowledge of the truth, but at the same time, this could just be a monkey on typewriter moment? I guess time will tell:achilles-onedge:
It might be a bit out there but I almost think Clair “created” her (or however that works) as a bit of catharsis after her frustration with Chloe’s unwillingness to have a serious talk with her right before that. The way I thought of it Peachykeen does know how everything works, but Chloe’s won’t learn anything from that because she isn’t really open to considering other’s opinions or taking anything seriously (which Clair knows). Basically Clair personifying her annoyance with Chloe’s refusal to listen to her, if Peachy really does know about the world then the answers are right under Chloe’s nose but she’s just too ignorant to consider them.
People have been theorizing about how Peachy’s speech is red, and how that connects to Clair’s anger… but Peachy’s speech and outline isn’t the bright red of Clair’s anger at all. It’s a slightly murky, brownish, purplish color (it looks way browner on this page due to the blue background).
It’s the color of Batty’s hair on her self-portrait.
My current theory is that Peachy is indeed batfruit insane, but somehow still knows *something* more than everyone else for some reason. Who knows, maybe that knowledge is why she’s Like That. Just knowing about the stairs seems to have done a number on… um. Spoilers…
I just realised the average person wouldn’t understand what that means and assume it’s a metaphorical path, leading to a follow up question which lets be real you’d have trouble getting a straight answer to from peachykeen.
