hmm, since this webcomic is all about dealing with trauma, we can all agree Clair likely symbolizes hypervigilance and the urge to refuse to think about the trauma by staying busy right?
i think from what we’ve seen of of Chole so far, she could be a representation of rumination and the urge towards self-destruction and idleness
1. unlike Clair, Chloe seems much more interested in actually thinking about whatever the mystery memories are meant to be, possibly even trying to actually process what happen.
2. but if Clair’s preceptive that Chloe does indeed think about this too much to be healthy is true to some extent. This could actually just be an example of how Chloe tends towards debatably self-destructive actions when it comes to resolving her own boredom with being in the present moment.
I think both are flawed in there approach, though at the moment its Clair who needs to ease up and let Chleo remember and process things, once she has experienced that grief Clair’s method could genuinely work, as Clair can help give her some frame work to start picking up the pieces and moving forward, but until Clair allows Chleo to experience this grief they are stuck in this viscious cycle.
