Alright time to talk about my favorite prop in this entire story thus far: the can opener. For one: Pepper’s house came with soup, but no can opener. Achilles had it instead. Which sort of forced an interaction between the two, leading to future interactions. Considering how much the houses symbolize each character, I feel like this automatically created (or foreshadowed) an friendship and even a temporary dependence on each other. Secondly: What does a can opener do? It opens cans. Cans are things that encase other things. They’re designed to seal things in and are hard to open. Again, Achilles house has this, and he does open up a lot of character’s personalities. The whole segment with Pepper and Achilles really shows a lot about both of the characters. To an extent, he’s also done that with Mars, although she’s, at this point, still reluctant to admit anything. He also “opened up” the whole edge of the world thing. Which is extremely important and worth discussing in another comment. As for a bonus third point: he doesn’t have any soup. I mean, we’ve only ever seen him use the can opener to. Hit himself. Because he’s Achilles. But really, he’s open with everyone. Takes things literally, too. He really doesn’t hide anything under layers like all the other characters do. He has nothing to really “open up.”
Dunno, I just really love that can opener. :canopener:

SPOILERS FOR LATERZ
Never noticed how often Achilles mention Mars punching him in the face as, like, the cherry on top.
It feels planned and that’s amazing
:achilles-serious: [!SPOILERS!] :achilles-serious:
