Now that Mars has her new look, the shading on her eyelids is now pretty similar to that on Achilles’s bruised eye, which is especially noticeable in the 2nd and 3rd panels. I wonder if that’s meant to parallel Mars and Achilles’s closer relationship.
Achilles and Mars are developing a very peculiar business relationship. I wonder how much Mars actually enjoys doing this or if she’s doing it out of obligation, especially since she was iffy on hurting him in the first place. I just feel like Mars needed to (or still needs to) communicate more openly with Achilles for him to get a better understanding and for them to work things out in a more healthy manner. Of course, there are no therapists in Halo Head, and the one that would have been is developing into a conman.
