very beautiful. and I like the lone star above the lighthouse house. I dunno what to expect next. like, she could read the book, or peace out, or like throw the book into the water, which I’m not sure why she would do that, except that it feels like her momentum is charged enough that she might do something like that. and the book represents a knot of tension between her and pepper and clair. though, I’m not sure I expect her to read the book at all at this point, I kinda feel like there is no need. she already knows what halo head is like. except that clair seemed to not want her to read it, which might be the best reason to expect her to read it. but maybe clair just didn’t want her to read it bc pepper gave her the book. if chloe reads it, it might not change anything. but it might inspire her to do something.
What a rough day it’s been for her. At least Clair has Achilles to cheer her up. Chloe just lost her connection with everyone today. Even if her being alone at this exact moment is partly her fault (Clair has a point – Chloe had every right to be upset but she bailed without giving Clair a chance to make it up to her), it’s sad to see her feel so dejected :chloe-sit:
The anger is pretty self destructive… choosing not to give anyone a second chance is just gonna leave you lonely in the end.
and I am not referring to Clair. at least, not alone.
i love how on the first panel, the coloring of the night sky bleeds down over where the horizon line should be, like its going under the light house. feels like things almost stop making sense when they reach the light house, like how the stars abruptly stop when they reach the light house, and leave a single star in empty space to the right of the light house. that combined with how it feels like the coloring of the sky is bleeding over the horizon, almost makes me feel like its a weird sheet behind the light house that’s poorly hiding something
the alone star on the opposite side of the lighthouse, the half of the moon, that half being her side of the eye. the imprint in the grass of the hill she sleeps on.:chloe-sit:
I hope she finally reads that book but also in that situation the anger at pepper might still be fresh enough that doing so would make her more miserable. The Yellow Wallpaper doesn’t seem like a great angry read especially since it made me angry itself haha . If she ever reads it I predict she will do the same as I did and start walking around muttering “creeping, creeping, creeping” “women be creeping” and/or “go creep girl” to herself as a vocal stim
i feel like this is a good time to mention third quarter moons (the one in this page) symbolize release, transition, and closure. food for thought :pepper-surprise:
Many stars in the sky, but one split away.
Half moon, half dark, thorn roses dug deep.
Carved spot in the grass, many have passed.
One eye sees darkness, the other lone.
Also, the moon and Chloe’s eyes match. One side is open/full while the other side is closed/empty.
peachykeen sleepover, anybody? :peachy-menacing:
all paths
Looks like Chloe :chloe-bored: is back at her nest for the night
You always find a way to say so much while saying so little
noticing the lighthouse is unlit and the moon is half instead of a crescent

Back to the old reliable I guess..
the butterflies being similar to the stars is a neat way to highlight things on the ground
lol she left a butt impression there like Homer Simpson with the couch
I don’t know if you can make this possible but I would love if the white portions of the site turned light blue when you switched to night mode

Wow. I… FEEL this.
the half moon reflects chloe’s closed eye !! yay !! yahooo !! i love noticing..
We’re back here, but it feels so different now. The place hasn’t changed, but you have.
Just as you thought maybe things could be different this time, they end up exactly the same
The will of others are insufferable and exhausting. A retreat is often all you have sometimes.
the stars & planets align
nothing will be the same after this

Same as it every was.
What if she opens the book and it’s hollowed out with a gun inside :peachy-aaa:
and it becomes a first person shooter released on itch io, multimedia project
craziest ARG to ever exist
The moon phase matches her eye o::chloe-sit:
