Clair in the last page was startling, in the first panel here she looks like a cryptid. Everything’s so clearly wrong in every panel here, it’s so uncanny on a reread
yeah i’m reading this as like. this could’ve been an opportunity for them to connect. for pepper to start helping clair heal. but because pepper isn’t chloe, clair shuts it down. she gets angry because it’s not the connection she wanted

They both got the peepers
Both eyes open, kind of like how Chloe got back at the wall. The red outlines make another appearance, making Clair’s design harsher looking.
More things to look at: Pepper’s right eye was showing through his hair. Clair’s right eye is open. Small stuff.
