this is giving me like, achilles is like cut off from a bunch of his knowledge. his actual understanding of things like metaphor? like it’s in there but he can’t get to it? that thematically tracks with some other things characters are going through, like clair making peachy with hidden knowledge, chloe kind of knowing yet not knowing what is going on.

Today we learn that Achilles higher brain functioning is proportionate to the size of his ears. Pepper gonna try and get him his 5G antenna ears back. :achilles-wonder:
But also been super curious how events will unfold from this discovery—which I guess we’ll learn shortly from whatever consensus achilles and extremely literal visual metaphor achilles come to. Will achilles confront clair directly about this? Will he stay mum about it until he can run to pepper and concede that he might have been on to something? Or… will he confide it only in the person he trusts most—mars? Or maybe some fourth alternative I haven’t thought of. Going back to see ares? Keeping it to himself entirely? Guess those are alternatives I *did* come up with, but the point still stands.
I like the thought that only Achilles may be aware of the stylistic change the comic has had overtime, and just accepts it as normal and never acknowledges it. :achilles-cutesy: Well, maybe The Peachy knows too, since they’re the oracle and stuff. :peachy-aaa:
I noticed that too, and I think you may be right. I have a feeling Achilles became the cat we love now when Mars shoved him (the little thought-bubble!Achilles even says thats the last time he was there), plus the thought-bubble!Achilles is more similar to how he first appeared
I think the ear notch is proof of our Achilles being imperfect and that yeah maybe the thought-bubble one was how he was “intended” :achilles-jolt:
