Repositioning her :chloe-bored: head to give a clear look at the wall art, amazing.
I wonder why Clair :clair-what2: is so insistent on preventing Chloe :chloe-sit: from reading confronting art, that doesn’t seem very fair.
I assume because if she reads that story, she’ll realize she’s in a similar situation… although Clair still makes a better psychiatrist than the husband in the story
Seconding the recommendation to read it. It’s about being caged “for your own good,” finding seams within the limited reality you are allowed, and breaking apart those seams to seek something else. It’s about questioning the boundaries that are assigned to you. And that’s exactly what Clair is afraid of.
God damn, ugh. This only fires up my curiosity about what it is Clair doesn’t want Chloe to think about even more, that she’s THAT afraid of her reading The Yellow Wallpaper. Like, obviously it’s not done out of purely selfish intent, she seems to think the distractions provided by the world(s) they’re in are infinitely preferable to whatever time, place or the like they’ve been in before (maybe when they were once a single being, if they legit are just two halves of the same person?), but she’s obviously doing the “STUFF IT ALL DOWN, STUFF IT ALL DOWN” coping mechanism, and yeah, that’s a recipe for disaster.

I didn’t even notice that😱😱😱
Absolutely brilliant😤

oh shi oh shi oh shi oh shi that’s not just her butt she’s checking out D:
Hey, she COULD be!
(I say, huffing my copium.)
Well that didn’t take too long:chloe-happy::clair-despair:
God they were having such a good time and Halo Head went and HAD to “protect” her :clair-despair:
LET HER BE HAPPY DAMN IT
I’m used to calling Clair Halo Head again from the bluesky posts whoops
I *always* forget to do this on BS :chloe-happy:
THIEF SPOTTED. Also, her head moving to show the broken heart… 💔
Such a good detail!!
Clair, this thing survives on bugs she snatches from the air and eats, you really think you can pull a fast one on her?
This is why Chloe chose Pepper over you, Clair…
keeps trying to take that book away from her huh
You can actually pinpoint the second where her heart rips in half.
yo clair can’t a girl read :chloe-bored:
the heartbreak :chloe-sit:
oh chloe.. i wish everyone around her would stop trying to control her
trying to get that book so much is just gonna clue chloe in to it’s importance
what if chloe demands story time at the sleepover
I’m glad Chloe noticed even if it’s gonna wreck the vibe.
Also that’s a good layout on that first panel.
Babygirl isn’t babygirling so hard right now. Poor Chloe.
Yet another example of Clair underestimating her.
and yet another example that clair only ever does anything chloe wants with an agenda.
Nonononono Claiiir leave it alooone :peachy-aaa:
God I hope they find a way to cope someday :peachy-menacing:
“BITCH THAT’S MINE”
she REALLY wants that book
no more happiness i guess :clair-sad:
Dammit, Clair.
Poor babygirl, she just wants a genuine friendship with someone who doesn’t try to manipulate and control her :chloe-sit:
bitch stole my book

Keeping a book away does not save the day! All paths lead to Peachykeen!
