Like… WE all know they’re the rebellious and conforming halves of one traumatized person, but I had assumed that in the context of their own reality they were sisters or something.
And now I’m wondering if the symbolism is closer to the surface than I thought, and Clair is not just a bossy sister(?) but is actually just trying to do her job as their shared conscience.
