Also, I’ve had a premonition – I feel like at some point in this series, one or more of the characters will come across a throne in the middle of a decaying city, possibly bearing a corpse. The throne will once have belonged to a god-king of some sort who is now dead but perhaps not gone.
Interesting to me how Clair seemed to immediately calm down after it started raining.. She was incredibly angry before but suddenly just seems indifferent, an oddly empty expression. I’m curious if she came to a realization that caused her emotions to fade? Or if perhaps the rain may be symbolic of actual crying. Sometimes strong emotions (like Clair was experiencing, or even Chloe) would cause one to cry, and then sometimes afterwards you’ll feel a bit numb, or some sort of relief perhaps. Or perhaps I’m thinking too hard, haha. Great comic as always :achilles-happy:
Pepper calls Chloe a “little hellion” the first time she stays at his house, but I don’t remember the word “devil” being used before, no. And I’m pretty sure “angel” has never showed up for Clair, either.

First time we’ve seen rain here in Halo Head! I wonder if it has any correlation to Chloe’s emotional state…

Is this the first time Chloe is referred to as a devil? Ofc they are a demon and angel but is this the first time it’s mentioned by name?
